About

SportSpiel is a podcast where star athletes share their stories and tell them properly.
Through our in-depth feature interviews our guests get the opportunity to delve into issues they are passionate about and give you an insight into their lives and personalities.
We love sport here at SportSpiel. We love the drama, the inspiration and the twists and turns. We are passionate about bringing you the stories that matter and there is no one better at telling them than the athletes themselves.
Since the podcast began in April 2017 it has evolved into what it is now – all about the athletes. We have been fortunate enough to hear from so many sporting stars including the likes of Elise Christie, Stef Reid and Shona McCallin.
So if you are a sports fan tune in and give us a listen!
“It’s great to have podcasts like this where it’s not just about statistics and results but what sport can do for people” – GB boxer Stacey Copeland

The Mintridge Foundation

SportSpiel is official partners with The Mintridge Foundation and we have worked on numerous projects together.
The charity was founded by Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Grassroots winner Alex Wallace and several athlete ambassadors have appeared as interview guests on the show.
We have also collaborated at a number of live events, with plenty more plans in the future.
As a podcast, we passionately believe in the work the charity does and their view that sport is for all.
