Alasdair Hooper and Will Moulton are joined by Badminton England prospect Hope Warner on episode 37 of SportSpiel.
FEATURE INTERVIEW
On our feature interview section (4:48) interviewer Yashas Mudumbai chats to Hope Warner all about her life in the sport of badminton.
The pair talk about her rapid rise through the ranks with the 17-year-old currently training with some of the very best in the country.
But despite that the prospect still has her moments of doubt, and tells the podcast about he she overcomes the feelings of occasionally not wanting to train or to just go home.
She also tells how she was first introduced to the sport and why her sporting role models are so important to her.

Alasdair and Will present the news round-up (26:57) as they go through some of the important headlines that caught their eyes, including Hannah Dines’ revealing piece on vulva surgery, the success of British weightlifting and British Canoeing’s ‘culture of fear’.
In our discussion topic this week (44:03) we look at the furore surrounding Australian rugby international Israel Folau who looks set to be sacked after posting homophobic comments on social media.
England international Billy Vunipola has also landed in hot water as a result of the fallout.
